Cristina and Aran in Vienna

Brighton (and Vienna) beginnings

It all started in Brighton, when we were young, ambitious, and mostly just trying to find the best happy hour deals. A few serendipitous encounters (and probably some questionable dance moves) later, Cristina jetted off to Vienna. But, as fate would have it, it wasn't long before she was back in London. Here she pursued her master's in Security Studies which to our great relief, did not mean she was training to more efficiently eject unruly pub-goers

Cristina and Aran in Hong Kong, with the city in the background

Dim sum and dramatic goodbyes

As official partners in crime, we set off for Hong Kong, ready for adventure, street markets, and sweating through every piece of clothing we owned. Just as we were getting the hang of it, Cristina made a grand exit, jetting off to Cambodia. After six months of long-distance calls, reunions at airports, and Aran pretending to be totally fine, we finally reunited in London — because no amount of dumplings could fill the void

London Love, Lager & a Lot of Dog Hair

From Clapham's cozy charm to King's Cross chaos, and finally settling in Tottenham Hale, we've perfected the art of moving—and hoarding questionable second-hand furniture. Aran has fully embraced his craft beer obsession, while Cristina watches in mild amusement (and occasional concern). Meanwhile Maya (our fluffy overlord) has made it her mission to cover every inch of our flat in dog hair, blissfully unaware that she's living the ultimate DINKWAD dream

Visa requirements

🇬🇧 UK Nationals

In a rare win for bureaucratic delays, the EU's much-anticipated ETIAS scheme has been pushed back to the end of 2026. Translation: no extra forms, no extra fees - just your passport and a sense of adventure

That said, passport control queues are still very much a thing, so factor in some extra time (or just embrace the opportunity to practice your finest British sighing)

🇺🇸 US Nationals

You might not be allowed into Eurovision (yet), but it looks like you can still enter Spain without a visa until the end of 2026 as, in true mañana, mañana style, the rollout of the ETIAS requirements has been delayed

So for now, (unless Trump really starts to escalate things) you'll just need your freedom pass (passport) and a sense of adventure. Just remember to pack your patience for the passport control queues

🇪🇺 EU Nationals

Why are you even here? You already know the drill. Some of you might even be lucky enough to not even need a passport
